We are next to a native bush reserve with pleasant walks (a kiwi zone) and close to the historic Flagstaff lookout, which has a full 360 degree overview of the Bay of Islands. Accommodation at 'A Place in the Sun' is peaceful and private, yet close to all amenities.
There is safe off street parking with security lighting for cars and boat trailers, and we are just 400 metres from the wharf, Russell's 'front door'. We will meet you at the passenger ferry if you are arriving by public transport.

Now retired ashore, we can assist you with planning a pleasant stay with full enjoyment of the many activities available in this unique small town: sailing, diving, fishing (including game fishing), boat trips, bush walks, bird watching, restaurant dining and sight-seeing.
